Suddenly the world i knew fell apart.
The walls caved and buckled,
echoes and tremors surrounded me,
destroying the delicate fantasy,
that i had tried so hard to maintain.
But now as the smoke clears,
i stand in the center,
alone,
with a vast blue sky stretching over head,
that i had never seen before,
like a glass ceiling had been lifted from my soul,
and the delicate cracks in its roof shattered,
falling like splintered diamonds through the sky,
shimmering across eyes longed dimmed.
i had starved my self from the world,
i believed my heart was my home,
but now i see,
there is so much more.
